Recreation Credit Program
The Recreation Credit Program, a program of the City of Burnaby, provides low-income families with credits that can be used towards any Burnaby Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services facility for programs and admissions.
Burnaby residents receiving low income:
+ Family with children aged 18 or younger
+ Senior(65+)
+ Long Term Disability/Canada Pension Plan
can have their applications to this program verified and processed at Burnaby Community Connections
Burnaby residents receiving Income Assistance:
+ Ministry of Employment & Income Assistance
+ Resettlement Assistance Program
should contact their financial aid or employment & income assistance worker to sign and stamp the application form
Receive Low Income
Family with children aged 18 or younger:
1. Most recent T1 General for each adult*
2. Most recent Notice of Assessment for each adult*
3. Current telephone or hydro bill showing your Burnaby address
*If you have recently immigrated to Canada within the last year and do not have Income Tax, please provide your Landed Immigration Papers.

We do not accept faxes! You can either drop off your completed application form and your documents at our office or mail in your documents.
Receive Income Assistance from
Ministry of Employment & Income Assistance:
Have your Financial Aid or Social Worker sign and stamp your completed application form. The Ministry office staff will then fax or mail your form to the Burnaby Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department.

Resettlement Assistance Program:
Have Immigrant Services Society of B.C. (I.S.S.) staff sign and stamp your completed application form. The staff will then fax or mail your form to the Burnaby Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department.

Processing Time
All eligible applications will take about one week to process. Be prepared to provide your name and telephone number to any recreational centres in Burnaby to receive your credits.
Credits
The credit amount is valid for one year from the time your application is processed. Please be aware that any unused credits will be removed from your account at the end of the Recreation Credit year. It is up to you to re-apply each year.
The application form can be obtained from our office or be downloaded here and dropped off at or mailed to our office. We do not accept faxes. |
